History of the Varane training courses

The Varane training courses were created early 2019 and stem from Raphaël’s will to get involved with young people through sport. It is the opportunity for Varane to communicate values of work, respect, humility and ambition – the very values that helped him become a world champion.

Mobile

In Martinique and Metropolitan France
In order to make them accessible to as many people as possible, the open courses are mobile and take place in different areas of the French territory, starting with the Martinique and Hauts de France regions. They are free and mixed, whether the children are licensed in a football club or not, as long as they want to discover and learn football. But the courses are also open to players with multiple years of practice seeking improvement.

The courses can accommodate up to 60 children per week spread over 1 or 2 pitches. Groups are based on the level of practice and age.

Supervisors are qualified educators, specialised in football, at the rate of two adults per 15 trainees.
